Funeral services for a former resident of Lyon county, Mrs. Kate Klein of Elkton, S. Dak. were held at her home in Elkton Tuesday morning followed by services there at the Lutheran church. Interment was an a rural cemetery near Hull. Mrs. Klein died Friday at Elkton. She was born July 3, 1883 in Cherokee county, Iowa, the daughter of George and Anna Finck. She moved with her parents to the Lakewood community in 'Lyon county and following her marriage to William F. Klein, continued to make her home in northwest Iowa until moving to Elkton. Her husband, a son and a daughter preceded her in death, as did her parents, five sisters and one brother.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Walter Katt of Rock Rapids; Mrs. K. M. Mangold and Katherine Klein of Omaha; Wilbur and Glen Klein of Elkton; Lorraine Klein of Norwalk, Calif, and Howard Klein of Brookings, S. D.; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Four sisters, Mrs. H. P. Schnepf of Rock Rapids, Mrs. H. F. Klutman of Valley Springs, S. Dak., Johanna Finck of Pamona, Calif, and Henrietta Finck of Rock Rapids and two brothers, August and Erwin Finck of Belle Fourche, S. D. also survive.
