C. H. Hagge and old time resident of Center Township died at Sioux City last Friday. He was about 75 years of age. The body was brought to Ireton and funeral services were held at the German Lutheran church Sunday. Interment was made in the cemetery at St. John’s Lutheran church, where his wife was buried some years ago. He leaves tree sons and five daughters. The children are: Mrs. A. Hilmer of Struble, Mrs. R. Hussman of Canton, Mrs. Wm. Pereboom of Idaho, John Hagge of Sheldon, Sophia Hagge of Los Angeles Ca and Mrs. Fred Bertram. Henry and Herman Hagge of Ireton.

Note: found on ancestry.com (done by others) Claus H. Hagge born Feb 6, 1841 in Denmark married Margaret Catherina Grill in 1866. They had eight children. He died September 26, 1913 in Sioux city IA.

Margaret C. Grill born 1841 in Dehrenwurth Schleswig Holstein Germany, parents Christian and Mathilda Grill. She died 1884 in Ireton IA. Children were: Mathilda 1868, Mary 1869, Emma 1873, Henry 1875, John 1876, Sophia 1881, Herman 1883. She was buried in St. John’s cemetery Ireton IA.
