Died: January 16, 1922

In January of 1879, Anna Sloan married Bernard "Ben" Moos. They left Winona, Illinois and settled on a farm Northeast of Granville where they lived until 1886, when they moved into Granville.

In 1889, Annie Madden, a four year old orphan born in New York, boarded the Orphan Train and traveled West. By some accounts she was adopted by Barney and Anna Moos. Other accounts state they were considering adopting her.

On January 23, 1904, Anna was gored by their bull while feeding it in the barn. She suffered several broken ribs and as a result she suffered poor health. The couple had an auction on November 12, 1904, and moved to Southern Illinois, thinking the climate would aid Anna's healing. Census records show that they returned to Granville.

Anna Moos was laid to rest at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery at Granville, Sioux County, Iowa.
