Dorothy Jantzen Funeral services for Dorothy Jantzen, 84, of Rock Rapids were held Thursday at United Methodist Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Hull. She died Monday, May 20, 1991, in Lyon Manor Care Center, Rock Rapids. Dorothy Visser was born April 4,1907, in Doon. She grew up there and graduated from Doon High School. She then went to Teachers College in Cedar Falls. On July 25, 1926, she married Rudolph "Rudy" Jantzen in Hull. They lived in Hull until 1939 when they moved to Rock Rapids. Her husband died February 16,1966. She moved into Lyon Manor September 25,1987. Survivors include one son, B. Dean of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and four sisters, Edythe Young of Albert City, Hendrene Graham of Union, Kentucky, Geraldine Bosacker of Downey, California, and Gertrude O'Neill of West Laske Village CA.
