Translated reads – Saturday at the house of son in law C. Aardema, Mr. Jansen died. He was 65 years old the funeral was at this place at the Chr. Rev. Church.

Note: From Ancestry.com (by others) Claus Jansma born Sep 1839. From 1900 census of West Branch Tsp, Sioux county IA, he immigrated in 1889. He was a widow and father in law of Charles Aardema so his wife was Emkje Jansma Oct 30, 1865 Franeker Neth. Emkje Jansma born 30 Oct 1865 was the daughter of Klaas Jansma and Albertje Vriese. Klaas was the son of Jan Klazes Jansma and Emkje Gijsberts Haarsma. He married Albertje Vriese 20 May 1860 at Franeker. Albertje Vriese died at 40 years on 2 Apr 1875 at Franeker. They were the parents of Anna 1861, Jan 1862, Anna 1863, Luutske 1864 and Emkje born 1865.
