MRS. ANNIE MINTEN---LONG TIME RESIDENT DIES AT ALTON

Mrs. Annie Minten, beloved resident of Alton for many years, died Sunday, August 16, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Peter Frantzen on Alton.

Anna Reith was born to Peter and Theresia (Schmitz) Minten in Fussville, Wisconsin, September 17, 1874 and came to Alton after her marriage to John Minten in 1903. They lived on the home farm for 14 years before moving to Alton in 1917. Her husband died in 1943.

Surviving are two sisters, namely Mrs. Peter Frantzen, Alton and Mrs. Walter Bagneski, Adams, Wisconsin; one brother, John Reith of Butler, Wisconsin.

The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 9:30 on St. Mary’s Church, Monsignor Reising officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Minten was a kind neighbor, and to her family.
