Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Miller, 88, were held Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church, southwest of Rock Valley. Reverend Alfred Kaupins officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Porter’s Funeral Service. She died late Saturday night at the Sioux Center Hospital after suffering a stroke.

Mrs. Miller, nee Ida Bauder was born June 25, 1873, at Elgin, Iowa.

Survivors include three sons, Ernest and Clarence, both of Rock Valley and Harry of Hudson, South Dakota; a brother, George Bauder of Long Beach, California, 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Her husband and several sons preceded her in death.

Mrs. Miller lived in the Rock Valley area a long time, having farmed southwest of town and then moved to town about 25 years ago.
