From the Rock Valley Bee, March 22, 1929:

The three-months baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Vande Weerd died Saturday following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Douwstra of the First Reformed church in Rock Valley, and the remains were taken to the Valley View Cemetery for burial. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of a number of friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Guy Vande Weerd of near Rock Valley mourn the loss of their infant baby daughter who died last Friday night of heart trouble. Mrs. Vande Weerd will be remembered as Fannie Westra of Perkins.
