Note: From a report on ancestry.com When Hendrik Ketel was born on September 4, 1796, in Apeldoorn, Gelderland, Netherlands, his father, Peter, was 52 and his mother, Christina, was 43. He had two sons and one daughter with Machteld (Mechteld) Landaal. He then married Hendrika Landaal and they had six children together. He died on July 18, 1877, in Alton, Iowa, having lived a long life of 80 years, and was buried in Orange City, Iowa. He immigrated in 1871 with son Laurens who was born Oct 22, 1834 at Apeldoorn Geld. Neth.
