From the Alton Democrat, March 8, 1929, Hospers news:

Mrs. Kruit died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Roete, and funeral services will be held Saturday, with interment at Hull.

From the Alton Democrat, March 15, 1929, Hull news:

Mrs. Kruits, who lived with her children near Hospers, and the grandmother of Mrs. B. Kroon and Mrs. Fred Elsinga of Perkins, died last week and was buried here Saturday. Rev. Douwstra officiated at the grave.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Kruit, Mary, b. 1846, d. 1929, Hope Cem Hull IA.

Her death certificate has Maria Kruit, widow, born July 28, 1846 at Puyyen, Netherlands; parents Pieter Brouwers and Geertje Schohanger[?]; died in Baker Township, O’Brien County, at 10 p.m. February 25, 1929; cause, “senile complications,” duration 3 months; contributory cause, Flu and endocarditis, duration 6 months; buried at Hull, March 1.

The 1900 U.S. census for Sioux Township, Sioux County, has Martin Kruit, age 43[53?], born November 1846, married 28 years, a farmer; wife Martha, age 43[53?], born July 1846, mother of 9 children, 4 living; son Flores, age 26, born August 1873; daughter Gertie, age 18, born March 1882; and daughter Mary, age 16, born March 1884. All were born in Holland and immigrated to the United States in 1887.

The 1910 U.S. Census has the family living in Nassau Township, Sioux County: Martin Kruit (63), wife Mary (63), and daughters Gertie (28) and Mary (26). He is a farmer (small farm), and his daughters are seamsters [seamstresses?].
