Ann Druyvesteyn, age 101 passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2017 in Marble Falls, Tx. She was born in Settler's TOwnship, Sioux County to Peter and Dena (Schaap) VerBurg, and she had an idyllic childhood on the family farm. She married Francois (Frank) Druyvesteyn in 1934 and they lived and raised their children in Rock Valley until 1955. They moved to Denver where they lived until Frank's death in 1981. She then moved to Texas to live by her daughter and granddaughter. She was an accomplished homemaker, amazing baker, and seamstress. She once called her sewing machine her "best friend".

She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings; Burt VerBurg, Edward VerBurg, Jack VerBurg, Elizabeth (Bess) Koel, and Cora Cannegieter.

She is survived by her children, DeeLoris King of Marble Falls Tx; and Kent Druyvesteyn of Ft. Worth, Tx; grandchildren Tammy Sartor, Todd King, Elizabeth Druyvesteyn, Mary Druyvesteyn, Aaron and wife Kimberly Druyvesteyn and their children, Landon and Presley and many nieces and nephews.

She will be interred with her husband at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Colorado.
