From the Hawarden Independent, March 7, 1929:

Death of Infant Daughter

The infant daughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rembe last Friday evening [March 1], did not survive its birth. Mr. and Mrs. Rembe are employed on the Jos. G. Benson farm, northeast of Hawarden, and there are no other children in the family. Funeral services were held at the Ross Funeral Home at 12:30 Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Robt. H. Forrester, pastor of the Methodist church, and interment was made in the cemetery at LeMars. Mr. and Mrs. Rembe have the sincere sympathy of all in their sorrow.
