AGED MOTHER GONE TO HER REWARD

Mrs. H. Koele, Sr., who we mentioned, last week, as being very low, died Wednesday evening, February 20th, at the age of a little over seventy-two years, being born on November 30th, 1856.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the home and from the First Reformed Church, conducted by both Rev. Douwstra and Rev. Stoppels, the remains being laid to rest in Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Koele was a kind and loving mother and a fine neighbor and she will be greatly missed by the family and friends. The Index wishes to join in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.

OBITUARY

Mrs. Henry Koele, nee Jennie VanDalfsen, was born in the Netherlands, where she grew to young womanhood and was united in marriage to H. Koele on April 10th, 1878. Mr. Koele passed away several years ago.

The family came to this country in 1885, settling first at Hospers, then for a time at Rock Valley, and for the past thirty-one years, Mrs. Koele has been a resident of Hull and vicinity.

Mrs. Koele was the mother of eleven children, ten of whom survive her. She is also survived by fifty-one grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The names of the children and their addresses follows: Nick and Dick, of Hull; Egbert, of Boyden; Jacob, of George; Hank, of Hull; Case (deceased); Coba, Mrs. Wm. Faas, of Sanborn; Mary, Mrs. John Gunnink, of Crookston, Nebraska; John, of Hull; Hattie, Mrs. G. J. Leusink, of Crookston, Nebraska; and Henry, of Hull.
