Peter J. Koch, 86, of Le Mars died Nov. 22, 1975 at Plymouth Manor care center after an illness of several weeks. Services were at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic church with Rev. Frank Staber officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery at Alton. A parish rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Luedtke funeral home. Six nephews were pallbearers.

Mr. Koch was born on April 19, 1889 in Germany and came to the Alton area with his parents as a young boy. His parents were the late Joseph and Elizabeth Schneider Koch. He was never married. He farmed in Minnesota for several years before moving to California in 1926. He was employed as a field superintendent for Shell Oil Co. until his retirement in 1955 when he moved to Le Mars. Survivors are a brother, John of Minneota, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Peter . N (Rita) Wiltgen of Le Mars, and ' several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Ahlers and Mrs. Leona Sanford and three brothers, Joseph, Nicholas and Otto.
