Titus Knuebel, 80, died at his home here Early Thursday morning May 24 folllowing a long sickness aggravated by several strokes. He was born in Holland and came to the U. S. when a young man. On April 4, 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Fannie Dekker and the couple farmed for several years at Prairie View, Kansas. In 1918 they moved to Ireton and this has since been their home.

Mr. Knuebel and his wife observed their 56th wedding anniversary on April 4 of this year. One son preceded his father in death. Surviving are nine daughters; Mrs. William Brower, Mrs. Wilson Van Bruggen, Mrs. Herman Van Zyl and Mrs. Harold Cooper all of Chicago, Mrs. Wiliam VanderKieft of Lynden, Wash. Mrs. Edward Biemers of Sioux Center, Mrs. John Dekker, Mrs. Henry Van Bruggen and Mrs. Marion Vellinga, all of Ireton; 37 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed church at Ireton and the remains were interred in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
