Died: June 29, 1920Gerrit married Hentje "Hattie" Koenders on December 11, 1878 in Zutphe, Gelderland, Netherlands. They are the parents of Hendrik, Bernard, Altte, Hattie & Garrit.
Gerrit, Hentje and family left the Netherlands at Rotterdam arriving in New York City on February 21, 1905 on the ship, Rijndam.
He was laid to rest at Hospers Cemetery, Hospers, Sioux County, Iowa.
**Note**Cemetery records and Iowa death records give conflicting DOB of Gerrit. His DOB is either May 19, 1854 or October 5, 1854.
