Lucile Beyer age 94 of Hull, IA died Tuesday, March 5, 2018 at Sanford Senior Care Center in Sheldon, IA.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Demco Community Center in Boyden, IA. Burial will follow in the Hope Community Cemetery at Hull, IA.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 8th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with family present at the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Lucile Margaret Katherine (Stegemann) Beyer was born July 12, 1923 at Boyden, IA the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Rohde) Stegemann. Lucile Beyer grew up in the Ireton and Boyden area, where she attended school. Lucile Beyer was united in marriage to Lambert Beyer on June 7, 1941 at Spirit Lake, IA. They made their home on a farm near Hull. Lucile was a loving wife and homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and over the years made many items for her family, friends, and also filled orders for many others. She always enjoyed sharing her talent with others. Lucile had a strong faith and also a deep love for her family. Many meals were enjoyed with others around their table. In October of 2011, she became a resident at Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon, IA where she died this past Tuesday evening, March 5, 2018 at the age of ninety-four.

Lucile is survived by her son, Richard (Robin) Beyer of Hull, IA; grandchildren, Richard “Dick” Beyer and Kathy De Bey; step-grandson, George Beyer; five great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; along with extended grandchildren Jeff (Melissa) Beyer and Leah Beyer; sister, Karen (John) Beyer of Boyden, IA; three sisters-in-law, Gwenda Stegemann of Matlock, IA; Edna Braaksma of Sheldon, IA and Ellen Kain of Detroit, MI.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lambert; infant son, Wayne Beyer; her parents, Henry and Minnie Stegemann; sister and brother-in-law, Emma (Gus) Paulson; two brothers and sister-in-law, Harold (Agnes) Stegemann and Elmer Stegemann.

Early in their marriage Lambert and Lucile accepted the teaching of Jesus Christ and chose Christian fellowship as their way of life; opening their home for fellowship worship each Sunday for nearly 60 years.
