Hollander, Christian 'Chris' G. born 1884 died 1955 on same headstone as Adele J. buried in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery Boyden IA as listed in the Sioux County IA cemetery index.

Chris Hollander, George Resident, Died On Sunday GEORGE — Services for Chris Hollander, 71, will be held at 2 pm. today (Thursday) in the St. John's Lutheran church, eight miles southwest of George, with the Rev. Henry Knoploh officiating Mr. Hollander died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Steuven. He suffered cancer of the brain and was hospitalized for about nine days at St. Joseph's hospital, Sioux City. He had since been cared for in the Steuven home.

He was united in marriage on February 21, 1908, to Miss Adele Sohl To this union two children born They are one son, Her. MI in and a daughter, Minnie (Mrs. Henry Steuven), both of the George vicinity. Besides his wife and children survivors include three grandchildren; two brothers, Henry of Elkton, S. D., and Claus of George. He was preceded in death by one brother and a sister.

Mr. Hollander was born in Germany At the age of 15 years he came to America and made his home for many years with his uncle, Chris Hollander He farmed southeast of George until his retirement about eight years ago, when he and his wife moved to their home in George. Burial will be at the St. John's Lutheran church cemetery. The Vogelaar Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
