Funeral Held Wednesday for Edward Hollander
A long time resident of Lyon County was buried here yesterday Wednesday. Edward J. C. Hollander died at the MPC Hospital in Rock Rapids Sunday at the age of 59. He had been hospitalized for about three weeks prior to his death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Jongewaard-Stapp chapel in Rock Rapids with the Rev. S. J. Meyer officiating. Soloist Dalbert Newborg sang two selections, "The Old Rugged Cross", and • Rock of Ages". Organist was Mrs. Wayne Friedrichsen. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery near Hull, under the direction of the Jongewaard-Stapp Funeral home of Rock Rapids. Bearers were Fred Hollander. Waldo Hollander. Lawrence Wobler. William Johnson. Ed Schuett. and Fred Schmidt.

Edward J. C. Hollander was born in Doon on April 11, 1908, a son of Johann and Lizz Hollander. On October 24, 1937, he married the former Rosa Schuett, and the couple farmed in the Rock Rapids area for some time. In 1955, they moved to Rock Rapids, where they have since made their home.
