HULL RESIDENT PASSES BEYOND

Mrs. Henry Brunsting died Friday, Feb. 10th at her home in Hull at the age of 62 years and eight months.

Mrs. Brunsting, nee Jantje Rons, had lived since her girlhood in the Hull vicinity, having come to this country from the Netherlands in 1880. She was married in the same year.

Besides her husband, six children survive their mother, namely, Mrs. Barney Westra of Boyden, Peter Brunsting of Hull, Mrs. Coon De Wilt, Lucas Brunsting and Albert Brunsting, all of Hull, Ralph Brunsting of Boyden. Two brothers also survive, Supervisor Wm. Rons of Sioux Center and Lucas Rons of Hull.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Reformed Church in Hull, with Reverend Douwstra in charge.

MRS. H. BRUNSTING DIES

The Angel of Death visited Hull again last Friday morning and claimed Mrs. Henry Brunsting, Sr. Mrs. Brunsting had not been in the best of health for some time and with Mr. Brunsting had been making their home with their son Peter and family.

Jantje Rons was born June 6th, 1865 in the Netherlands. She came to this country in the spring of 1889 and on April 23rd was married to Mr. Brunsting. They made their home in this vicinity on a farm until they removed to town in 1920.

To this union were born seven children, one dying in infancy, the surviving being: Mrs. Barney Westra, of Sheldon; Peter, of Hull; Mrs. Conrad De Wild, of Hull; Luke, of Hull; Albert, of Hull; and Ralph of Sheldon. There were also thirteen grand children to mourn the loss of this kindly old lady.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the First Reformed church, Rev. G. H. Douwstra officiating and the remains were laid to rest in Hope Cemetery. The Index wishes to join in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved husband and children in this, their sad hour.

Her death certificate has her birth date as June 6, 1863 (but her age as 62 years 8 months). It also adds her parents, Peter Rons and Warmeltje Lanegejans, and cause of death, apoplexy, contributory cause high blood pressure, duration 15 years.
