aHone, Chas. Born 2 May 1823 died 22 Jun 1883 wife Sarah buried in Pleasant Hill cemetery Ireton IA as listed in the Sioux county IA cemetery index.

Hawarden Independent of Thursday June 28th 1883.

Died Jun 23rd at his residence eight miles east of Calliope, Charles Hone, aged 60 years. Charles Hone was born Middlesex England, August 2, 1823 and emigrated to America in 1870 about four years ago he came to Sioux county. His health had not been good for several years. The immediate cause of his death was paralysis. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Gilkerson. Hr. Hone leaves a wife and several children to mourn. He was a kind, Christian gentleman, esteemed by all who knew him, for his many good traits of character. The bereaved family have the sympathies of our people.
