Died: 1904

He was born in 1834 in New York and lived in Ft. Wayne, Indiana at the time of the outbreak of the Civil War. He was mustered into service with Co. K, 38TH IND INF on September 13, 1862; mustered out July 15, 1865; also served in the 88TH IND INF.

His first wife was Nester (b. @1834); son Ezra (b. 1860); 2nd wife Mary J. (b. @1834); children: Delbert and James W.. He was a member of Iowa G.A.R. Post #159.

He was laid to rest at Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden, Sioux County, Iowa.
