Funeral services for Mrs. H. J. Hough were held in St. Mary’s church at rock Valley, IA, Saturday August 22, Rev. A. J. Foerster officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Mrs. Hough passed away in the home of her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. J. C. Wiggerman at seven O’clock Thursday morning, Aug 20. Her death ends an illness of eleven months. She was first taken ill in September 1939, at her home in Minneapolis on Dec 1 where she was operated on for cancer. She came to Rock Valley June 16, 1931, to be with her children and her parents. Mrs. Hough was unable to regain her health and gradually, became weaker until death came to relieve her of her suffering.

Esther Wiggerman Hough was born in Rock Valley IA, Jun 17, 1895. Her childhood days were spent here. She attended St. Mary’s academy and Mt. St. Clare Academy t Clinton IA. She was untied in marriage to Mr. Harry M. Hough of Rock Valley in January 1912. To this union was born four children, LaVere, Patsy, Barbara and Carol Jean.
She is survived by her husband four children, her parents, two brothers, and three sister, who were with her at the time of her death.

Mr. H. M. Hough and family and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wiggerman and family wish to thank their friends for the many acts of kindness and many acts of consideration extended them during the illness of Mrs Hough.
