Henry Leemkuil, who had been very ill for some time, died Tuesday night, July 14, at the age of 86 years and 22 days.

Mr. Leemkuil was a native son of Gelderland, The Netherlands and came to America when 19 years of age. He settled first in Wisconsin and then moved to Iowa where he homesteaded on a farm now known as Philby and now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. William Poppema.

Mr. Leemkuil leaves a widow,Johanna G. (Wiekamp) Leemkuil; two sons, John and Dick Leemkuil, both of Hospers, two daughters, Mrs. Herman Kleinhesselink of Leeds and Mrs. Garret Kronemeyer of Hospers, as well as other relatives to mourn his departure. This community extends the hand of sympathy to all the bereaved.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the First Reformed Church, Reverend Stegeman officiating. Interment was made at the Presbyterian Cemetery east of Iowa.
