From the Sioux County Index (Hull), October 7, 1927:

MOTHER MARRA DIES

Monday evening, at 5 p. m., occurred the death of Mrs. W. Marra, at her home in Orange City.

Mrs. Marra was an old resident of Sioux County, having come to Orange City in the fall of 1880, and has resided at Orange City ever since. She had attained the ripe old age of 85 years. Mrs. Marra was one of those quiet Christian mothers, whose loving character will long be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by 5 children, Mrs. J. Hospers, Mrs. A. Rouwenhorst, and Miss Jennie Marra, of Orange City; and Mrs. P. H. VanWyk and T. W. Marra of Hull.

Funeral services were held on Thursday at the home and at the First Reformed church at Orange City, with interment at the Cemetery at Orange City. The Index joins in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
