Funeral services for Mrs. Harold Larson, 66, who died at the local hospital on Wednesday, January 29, 1969, were held in Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 1, with Reverend O. F. Pittack officiating. Interment was in Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden, Iowa, with Dow Funeral Home in charge.

Cora Irene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Iverson, was born February 25, 1902, near Shindler, Springdale Township, Lincoln County, South Dakota. On March 31 she was baptized in the Springdale Lutheran Church by Reverend Rodsater, and on November 19, 1916, she renewed her baptismal vow in the rite of confirmation, with Reverend T. A. Johnson officiating.

After receiving her elementary and secondary education in the school of her community, she enrolled at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, and then entered upon a teaching career of 17 years in public schools in Lincoln County, including schools at Centerville and Canton. During these years she also attended Summer sessions at the University of South Dakota and the University of Minnesota.

On September 14, 1938, she was united in marriage with Harold Larson at Canton, South Dakota, Reverend Edward Nervig performing the ceremony. Mrs. Larson became a active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served the congregation on various committees and was a Sunday School teacher for over 25 years. She had also been a member of all the organizations for women, the former Dorcas Society, the Ladies Aid Society, and the Women's Missionary League, serving the last organization not only locally, but also as an officer in the Northwest Circuit. In addition to her activities in the church and its organizations within the community. She had been employed at the Smart Shop for 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Iver and Palmer, and her only sister, Mabel.

Survivors include her husband, Harold; five brothers, Clarence of Lebanon, Oregon, Phillip and Ole of Harrisburg, South Dakota, Hogan of Canton, South Dakota, and Ralph of Menomonie, Wisconsin; one uncle; two aunts; one nephew; five nieces, and a number of cousins.
