Winifred (Van Regenmorter) Vonk was born on May 29, 1923, to Peter and Carrie (Bos) Van Regenmorter in Sioux Center, Iowa. She grew up on a farm and attended country school. She obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse degree in LeMars. Wynn married Ben Vonk on March 7, 1952. They farmed in Sioux Center for 5 years before moving to Bellflower, California where she worked as a nurse’s aide. Wynn also worked in a clothing store, and as an aide and bus driver for Hope Haven. After retirement, they moved to Chandler and Meza, AZ. She was married to her husband, Ben for 49 years. In 2003, Wynn moved to Sioux Center. It was great joy to be near her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed being involved in Women’s ministry and hospice.
