Services held Saturday for Louis W. Hinsch, long-time area farmer. Funeral services were held last week for a well-known George area farmer who died Wednesday at the Merrill Pioneer Community hospital after a long illness. He is Louis Hinsch, 61, who farmed most of his life in the county. The services were held at the St. Paul Lutheran church of rural Hull, on Saturday, with the Rev. A. Hansen officiating. Special music was provided by a duet — Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Tiedeman who sang two selections: "Just as I am’, and "Abide With Me". Organist was Mrs. Orville Willemssen.

Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Vogelaar Funeral home of George. Bearers were Arie Steenhoven, Arlen Steenhoven, Harley Behrens, Art Stueven, Harold Luitjens and Arnold Techen.

Louis W. Hinsch was born November 2, 1907, a son of Charles and Mary Hinsch. On February 10, 1935, he married Matilda Schmidt and the couple farmed in Lyon county all of their married life. They lived south west of George. Survivors are his wife; a son, Kenneth of George; a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Marla) Woelber of Lincoln, Nebr.; two brothers, Henry of Rock Rapids and Otto of Ingelwood, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Drewes and Mrs. Mary Sprock, both of Rock Rapids;. Mrs. Meta Harms of George and Mrs. Emma Karslen of Portland, Ore.
