JANET KOSTERS DIES AFTER MANY YEARS OF ILLNESS

Funeral services were held at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon , July 20th, 1946, at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center for Miss Janet Rowena Kosters at Harrison, South Dakota. Reverend Oliver Brees, pastor of the local Second Christian Reformed Church officiated.

Miss Kosters was born on October 17, 1913, being the youngest member in a family of nine children. In her youth she confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and Redeemer and Him she sincerely loved and served.

Her father and mother preceded her in death. She was born at Harrison, South Dakota, later moving to Sioux Center where she was a member of the First Reformed Church and active in the Girls Mission Band. After the death of her parents in March of 1944, she went to Harrison to live with her brother, Albert Kosters and his family. She then also became a member in Full Communion of the Harrison Christian Reformed Church. In this church she was also a member of the Esther Circle and the Young Ladies Society.

Janet was ailing most of her life having developed diabetes at the age of five years. After a lingering illness she died Sunday morning July 28, 1946 at the age of 27 years, 9 months and 11 days.

She is survived by six brothers, Henry of Hudson, South Dakota; John of Rock Valley; Albert and Albern of Harrison, South Dakota; Richard of Orange City and William, also of Harrison. Two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bultze of Harrison, South Dakota; and Bertha Kempers of Orange City.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church at Harrison, South Dakota on Monday afternoon.
