Illness Claims Life Young Girl
Mary Ellen Henrich, 10 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Henrich of Lennox, SD, died april 13th at Mc Kenna Hospital, Sioux Falls, where she was a patient for eleven weeks with Meningitis and complications. The child is survived by her parents and 7 year old brother, Francis Edward, who have the sympathy of many Alton Friends in their loss.

Funeral services for the little girl were held at the Catholic church in Lennox Saturday morning in charge of Rev. Quinn. The body was brought to Alton for interment in St. Mary’s cemetery, where Rev. Neppel officiated at the burial rites of the church.

Alton relatives attending the Lennox services were the child’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Henrcih, and uncles and aunts including Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Henrich and uncles and aunts including O. S. Henrich, George Henrich and P. C. Hoffman, the latter of Sutherland. Numbers of friends and relatives from Lennox accompanied the remains to Alton, among them the little girl’s maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Fitzgerald.
