DEATH OF MRS. R. POSTMA

Mrs. Richard Postma died suddenly at her home near Rock Valley, Friday, following an illness of but a few hours. Her sudden death is a great shock to her husband and children and other relatives and friends in this community.

The subject of this sketch was born at Orange City, Iowa November 17, 1896, and was 29 years, 8 months and 17 days old. All her life was spent in this vicinity. She was united in marriage to Richard Postma ten years ago and since then had continued to live in this vicinity. She leaves her husband and five small children besides other relatives who have the sincere sympathy of many friends.

Funeral services were held in the Christian Reformed Church at Rock Valley Tuesday afternoon and the remains were taken to the Valley View Cemetery.

Sad Death of Rock Valley Mother

Mrs. Richard Postma met with an accident Thursday morning and was still able on Friday morning to prepare the breakfast but shortly afterward became filled with pain. At four o’clock in the afternoon a nine and one-half pound baby boy was born. The mother gained strength soon afterward but in the evening became unconscious and thereafter knew no more. Rev. Geerlings was called to the bedside on Friday evening and before daylight came she had passed into the Great Beyond.

She leaves to mourn her husband and five children and several brothers and sisters and her mother. Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Ref. church by Rev. J. H. Geerlings and interment made in the Valley View cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Many relatives and friends are left to mourn the passing of this mother and to sympathize with the motherless children.
