Woelber, Katharina Sophia born 9 Apr 1832 died 10 Sep 1921 buried in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery Boyden IA , source from the St. John’s church death records.

Note: The submitter found that the listing in the WPA cemetery index was incorrectly listed as Hemmingson, Herch or Hench, Grandmother with the same birth and death dates as above. In the St. John’s church death records it was confirmed to be Katharina Woelber with same birth and death dates.

No obituary was found in the local papers. In the 1900 census she was living in the household of her son Herman Woelber born Dec 1856 and wife Catherina, they had five children.

According to a report on ancestry.com (done by others) Katherina Sophia Vish or Wesch was born 9 April 1832 Germany died 10 Sep 1921 at Boyden IA. Her husband was La Franz Claus Johannes Woelber born 1830 (assumed died in Germany). Her parents were Delof Wish/Vish born 1799 and Kattie Kolstrant born 1799. Her children were listed as – Maria Katharina Woelber Vagts 1855-1930, Herman Woelber 1856, William Woelber 1859-1924, Anna Crhistine Woelber 1860-1953, Henry Woelber 1861, Margaretha Sophia Woelber Stueven 1864-1917, Catherina 1869.
