Mrs. Joe Heitzman of Hospers Called
After many months of suffering Mrs. Cecelia Heitzman beloved wife of Joseph Heitzman of Hospers, passed away at 11 a.m. Thursday Dec 30, at the age of 45 years, one month and six days. Mrs. Heitzman was a loving wife and kind mother and will be deeply missed by her husband and two children, namely Georgia, age 16 and Gerald age 13, who survive; also her brothers, John Brandenburg of Sheldon, George of LeMars and Joseph of Alton, and one sister, Emma (Mrs. Ehlers) of Sheldon. Hundreds of friends will miss her cheery disposition, and deeply mourn the loss of a sincere friend.

She was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Brandenburg of Hospers and was born in O’Brien County on Nov 23, 1892. She attended the parochial school at Hospers. On Nov 25, 1913 she was untied in marriage to Joseph Heitzman, also of Hospers, and they have lived in the Hospers community ever since.

Funeral services were held Sunday Jan, 2 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Hospers with Rev. Father Thoenfssen officiating at the mass and also at the services at the grave.

Friends and relatives who came from a distance to pay their last respects to her were Mr. Heitzman’s mother, Mrs. Catherine Heitzman of Minneapolis; his sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Bernard, Springfield MN, and Mrs. Freeman Perias, Sauk Center MN; His nephew Marvin Heitzman of Shakopee MN; also Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nenroth, Granville; Mr. and Mrs. George Terveer, Leo Terveer, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miday and children, Robert, Mary Lou and Bernard of Sherburn MN; Mrs. Estella Crill and children, Wayne and Dorothy Fairmont MN; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bohan Sanborn; Mr. and Mrs. Milo Ehler, Hartley; Mr. and Mrs. John Brandenburg, Mrs. Emma Ehlers, Marcel, Mavis and Mary, all of Sheldon;
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brandenburg and sons, Lawrence and Clarence Le Mars; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brandenburg and children, Vernon and Virginia, Alton; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beldt and family; F. A. Baadte Matlock; Mrs. Eich, Mrs. Peter Stapenhorst, Mrs. Carl Stapenhorst, Mrs. Elizabeth Haag all of Sheldon; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jungers and family, Hartley; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Stries of Primghar; Rufe Welsh, Paullina; Loretta Hatting, Ashton; Dorothy Cronin, Oyens, and a large number of friends and neighbors from Alton Granville and Sheldon.

Pallbearers were Fred Verschoor, Melvin Vander Kamp, Leo De Vries, John Dries, Dominic Jungers and Will Giefer. The Democrat joins with the many old friends in heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
