Heitritter, Henry O. born 1871 died 1951 wife Anna C. buried in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at Boyden IA as listed in the Sioux County IA cemetery index. No obit was found in the Sioux County papers probably as he died at Sheldon IA.

Funeral services were held Monday for H. O. Heitritter, 80 of Sheldon, at the Temple Mortuary at 1:15 and at St. Paul’s Lutheran church at 1:30. He passed away Thursday at his home. He had been in failing health for over a year but his condition did not become serous until about two weeks ago.
Henry Olrich Heitritter was born at Boyden, Sioux county on November 7, 1871. His parents were Olrich Heitritter and his wife Bertha, nee Meyners. He was baptized in infancy in St. John’s Lutheran Church north of Boyden by Pastor Hass. He received his catechetical instruction in the same church and was confirmed there in his youth by the same pastor. He received his secular education in the public school near his home.
His remained in his parental home during his youth and young manhood, which was on a farm north of Boyden. He was united in Holy marriage with Miss Anna Kruse on September 28, 1897. The young couple made their home on a farm near Boyden, where they engaged in successful farming for the next twenty four years.
To this happy union were born two sons and two daughters, one of whom, their son Martin August died in infancy.
In September 1921 Mr. and Mrs. Heitritter moved to Sheldon Iowa where they made their home with Mrs Heitritter’s father, Mr. Peter Druse at 420 4th Ave. After the father’s death they continued to live at the same place until the present time.
Mr. Heitritter was always a faithful member of the Lutheran Church, first at Boyden and then at Sheldon. Upon moving to Sheldon he and his wife became members of St. Pauls’ Lutheran church whom service both attended regularly and faithfully. Mr. Heitritter also served his church as janitor for sixteen years and was a member of the Brotherhood.
Our deceased brother in Christ suffered his first paralytic stroke in 1930. He overcame the effects of this, ex except for some weakness on his entire left side, and enjoyed comparative good health until 1944, when it became necessary for him to submit to a major operation. He recovered from this and again was quite well until May 22 1950, when it was necessary to submit to major surgery for the second time. Since them his general health gradually declined. On November 13 of this year he became quite seriously ill, which resulted in loss of Speech and difficulty in swallowing. He was able to be up part of the time, but mostly he was confined to his bed. On Wednesday afternoon, November 28, he lapsed into a coma, from which he did not again awaken. He passed peacefully from this life to his eternal home on Thursday, November 29, at 5:30 p.m. He attained the ripe age of 80 years and 22 days.
Besides his son before mentioned he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Herman and Fred Heitritter. He leaves to mourn his death his beloved wife, his son, William, Melvin, IA; his two daughters, Katherine and Elizabeth respectively Mrs. Hug Beyer of Woden, IA and Mrs. E. A. Heiden of Osage IA; one brother, William of Sioux City IA; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Rev. H. c. Schiffler officiated at the funeral services. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Boerhave sang two hymns. Pallbearers were Simon Brandt, Will Koehnecke, Emil Schultz, William A. Winter of Boyden and Fred Sohl and Chris Hollander of George.
Interment was in St. John Lutheran cemetery Boyden IA.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Talsma attended the funeral of the latter's grandfather, H. O. Heitritter at
Sheldon on Monday afternoon.

He was married 28 Sep 1897 at Boyden IA to Anna C. Kruse 1879-1976 . Children listed were Katherine 1898, William 1900, Martin 1901, and Elizabeth 1902.
