John W. Kooiker, 72, Hull, died February 9 at a Sheldon Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. February 12 at the First Christian Reformed Church. The Reverend John Fondse will officiate. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under direction of Kraai Funeral Home of Hull.

Mr. Kooiker was born September 10, 1903, near Middleburg. He married Johanna Ver Meer June 1, 1928 at Hull. They farmed in the Hull area until 1947, then near Hardwick, Minnesota, until 1957, when they retired and moved back to Hull.

He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Hull.

Survivors include the widow; three sons: Willis of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jake of Hardwick, and John of Boyden; three daughters: Mrs. Harvard (Clara) Rozeboom and Mrs. Donald (Louisa) De Boer, both of Leota, Minnesota, and Mrs. Cynthia Lubben of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 20 grandchildren; a brother, Nick of Hull; four sisters: Miss Mary Kooiker and Mrs. John (Helen) Kroese, both of Hull, Mrs. Arie (Jennie) Vander Weide of Sioux Center, and Mrs. Peter (Gertrude) Van Kalsbeek of Hospers.
