Services for Mrs. Henry Kooi, who passed away Thursday evening, January 24, at her home in Orange City, were held Saturday afternoon at the First Reformed Church of Orange City, of which she was a communicant member.

Reverend Henry Colenbrander officiated. Burial was made in the Orange City Cemetery with arrangements by the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were: Frank Popma, Paul Mouw, Vernon Mouw, Ben Draayer, Arie Kanis and George Van Dyke.

Mrs. Kooi was born July 21, 1881, on a farm northeast of Maurice, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Hattie (Koster) Niemantsverdriet.

Surviving are her daughter, Vivian, and her husband, Reverend Henry Nyhof of Fairview, South Dakota, and their six sons and daughters: Harlan, student at Western Theology Seminary of Holland, Michigan, Verin and Rolyn, students at Northwestern Junior College in Orange City, Calvin, Gordon and Rosalie at home. Surviving also is the departed's brother, Henry, who made his home with her.

Mr. Kooi preceded in death three years ago.
