Funeral serivces for Mrs. Susanne Koob, long time Hawarden resident, were held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Church, Father Leander Friedman officiating at the Requiem Mass. The rosary was recited at the Barnard Funeral Home both Monday and Tuesday evenings. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Susan Redding was born July 28, 1881, in Luxemburg, and married John Koob there. In 1915 Mr. and Mrs. Koob and two children came to America, settling in Hawarden. Mr. Koob died March 17, 1936. She was also preceded in death by a son who died in infancy in Luxemburg, and another son, Emil, who died July 9, 1952.

Mrs. Koob was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church all during her residence here and a member of Trinity Circle of St. Mary's Guild. She was a devoted mother and homemaker.

Those who survive include a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ristow; four sons, John, Joe, Bernie and Bob; 11 grandchildren, all residing in Hawarden, and two sisters in Luxemburg.

Casket bearers were Robert Hodoway, Walter Muth, Geroge Hirschman, L.R. Seriven, William Doohen and Joe Ragole.
