NICK KOOB, 57, ALTON NATIVE AND GRANVILLE RESIDENT, SUCCUMBED

Nicholas Koob, 57, longtime resident of the Granville community, died at his home early Thursday in his sleep. He had been in poor health for several months.

Mr. Koob was born to Barnard and Anna (Drees) Koob on October 24, 1896, at Alton, Iowa. He married Irene Perlot January 31, 1921, at Granville. He was a retired truck operator.

Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Darrell Menke of Granville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Koob of Granville; two sisters and five brothers, all of Granville and four grandchildren.
