Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church here at 1 P.M. Monday, June 30, for Mrs. Gerrit Koerselman, 75, lifelong resident of this vicinity, who died suddenly unexpectedly at the home of her son, Howard Koerselman, of rural Granville June 27. She was visiting in her son’s home at the time of her passing.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Jack Boerigter and burial was made in the Sheldon Cemetery with Vander Ploeg’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Koerselman, nee Anna De Boer, was born to Thomas and Anna (Dyk) De Boer at Hospers July 8, 1892. She was married to Gerben Cleveringa February 5, 1913. Mr. Cleveringa died in June of 1953 in Sheldon. She married Gerrit Koerselman December 7, 1954.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Howard, of rural Granville; a daughter, Esther; three step-sons: Cornelius, Gary and Clifford Koerselman, all of Sioux Center; three step-daughters: Mrs. William Kroon of Alton, Mrs. Marion Wissink and Mrs. William Plantage, both of Sioux Center and a sister, Mrs. Albert Lobb, of Sioux Center.
