Mrs. Ben Koerselman Sr. of Boyden, Iowa, passed away Monday afternoon of a heart attack at the age of 69 years. She was born in the Netherlands and came to America in 1885. She was united in marriage to Ben Koerselman February 9, 1905 and lived in the Boyden and George vicinity all her married life. She was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Boyden.

Jennie "Janna" Koerselman is survived by her husband Ben; four daughters: Mrs. Harold Wortman, Mrs. Lloyd Eberline, Mrs. Ilert Eilders all of George, Iowa and Mrs. Hildred Dykstra of Boyden; five sons, Gerrit, of Middleburg, Iowa, Benjamin, Herman, Dick all of George, and Reverend Lewis Koerselman of Wendell, Minnesota; one sister, Mrs. John Vander Laan of Orange City, Iowa; two brothers, Gerrit Vander Maaten of Boyden, and Bert Vander Maaten of Sheldon. She is also survived by thirty-four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the First Reformed Church at Boyden, the Sioux Center Cooperative Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Reverend Chester Postman will officiate. Burial will be in the Boyden Cemetery .
