Agnes M. Koerselman, 80, of Sheldon passed away Monday, January 29, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 2, at the United Methodist Church in Sheldon. The Reverend Dr. Bruce Ursin officiated. Interment was at the Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Agnes Marie was born September 17, 1915, at Hull, the daughter of John and Alice (Nettinga) Vande Berg. She was raised in Hull where she graduated from high school in 1934.

On September 1, 1937, she married Arie Koerselman at their home in Sheldon. She operated a day care center for many years. Mr. Koerselman passed away October 24, 1976, at Sheldon.

In January 1995, Mrs Koerselman became a resident of Pleasant Acres.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church where she had been active in the Lydia Circle. She was also a 49-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Rider, of Leadville, Colorado; son, Jon David, of Denver, Colorado; two grandsons, Casey Rider and Ted Koerselman, both of Denver, Colorado; and a granddaughter, Melissa Rider, presently in Antarctica.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, John Vande Berg; and a sister, Kathleen Van Muyden.
