Mr. and Mrs. John A. Koerselman of George, Iowa passed away recently, due to injuries suffered in the auto accident which occurred June 2, Sunday.

The car driven by [D S] of Boyden pulled onto the highway 18 at Boyden, in front of the car driven by John A. Koerselman.

Mrs. Koerselman died June 6 at the Sheldon Hospital and funeral was June 10 at Matlock. John died June 12 at Sheldon Hospital and funeral was June 15 at Matlock.

Mrs. Koerselman was formerly Hendreka Van Oort and was born June 22, 1893 at Orange City.

John was born July 14, 1892 at Alton. They were married January 22, 1914 and lived on a farm near George, Iowa for 60 years.

Their survivors are 6 sons: John, Gerrit, Anthony, Albert and Herman, all of Sheldon, and Benjamin of Merrill, Iowa; three daughters: Mrs. Virgil (Geraldine) Hofmeyer of Hartley, Mrs. Richard (Anna) Van Meeteren of Sheldon and Mrs. Donald (Josephine) Miller of Rock Valley; 30 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. The pall bearers for both funerals were their six sons. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery at Matlock, Iowa.
