Dewey Koele, 69, of Hull, died Sunday in a hospital in Rock Valley of an apparent heart attack. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the First Reformed Church, in Hull. The Reverend W.D. Martin will officiate. Burial was in Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Kraai Funeral Home of Hull.

Mr. Koele was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob and Wilhelmina (Faas) Koele on March 4, 1913 at George. He married Jeanette Hoksbergen. She died June 30,1969. He married Esther Peters April 3, 1970, at Cherokee. He was a cream hauler for a local creamery. Mr. Koele was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; one son, James of Hull; three stepsons, Gaylord Peters of Rockwell City, Maj. Lowell Peters of St. Louis, Missouri, and Larry Peters of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Bessie) Brunsting of Hull; three brothers, Edward of Hull, John of Clinton, Wisconsin, and Ben of Orange City; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
