Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Rae Knight, 86, resident of Hawarden 53 years, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral Home with Elder William Neptune and Reverend Paul Williams of Hawarden in charge. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Knight died early Saturday morning at her home after an illness of six years during which time she was bedfast. During her long illness she was cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Fred Lantz, who with her husband made her home with Mrs. Knight.

Emma Corbin was born February 27, 1872, at Norfolk, Nebraska, and came to Iowa with her parents, living at Le Mars and Ireton before coming to Hawarden. She was married to William Knight in 1891. After her marriage she lived on a farm in the Alcester vicinity. In 1905 she came to Hawarden. She was the mother of seven children, one son, Ralph, having died two years ago. She was also preceded in death by her husband.

Mrs. Knight was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Fred of Akron and Harry and Vernon of Hawarden; three daughters, Mrs. Del Finch, Mrs. Oliver Jones and Mrs. Lantz, all of Hawarden; 15 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren and her twin sister, Mrs. Ida Harris of Seattle, Washington,
