Funeral services for Elizabeth Klootwyk, 79 years, were held Saturday, March 14th, at 1:30 P.M. at Sheldon, with the Reverend Henry G. Schoon of Boyden officiating. Burial was at the family plot in the Boyden Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Docter, Norman Bell, George Diekevers, John E. Meyer, John Slylehuis and Dick Koerselman. In charge of flowers were Mrs. Elizabeth Westra and Mrs. George Diekevers. Mrs. Ray Smit and Mrs. Lawrence Salmon sang “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” and “Beyond the Sunset.”

Mrs. Klootwyk, nee Elizabeth Dekkers was born August 20, 1884, in the Netherlands. She married Mr. Tony Klootwyk, who passed away on November 18, 1946.

Since her husband’s death Mrs. Klootwyk made her home with her sister, Mrs. Gertie Vander Kamp in Sheldon, where she passed away on Thursday morning, March 12th, following a heart attack.

She is survived by her sister and several nieces and nephews.
