John A. Kleinhesselink died Saturday afternoon at 12:30 at his home southwest of Orange City at the age of 68 years, 5 months, and 23 days. He had been ailing with anemia for a year.

He was born November 9, 1872 on the homestead where he died and was a son of Arie John and Johanna (Smit) Kleinhesselink.

On December 3, 1897 he was united in marriage to Cornelia Vogelaar at Orange City. They lived on the farm all their married life except for 4 years when they lived in Orange City.

One sister, Dora, Mrs. Henry Boone, preceded him in death in 1931.

Their children, Mr. and Mrs. William Kleinhesselink and family, made their home with Mr. and Mrs. John A. Kleinhesselink the past 2 months to assist them.

Survivors include the widow, 5 children: Jake of Boyden, John, Martha, Mrs. Tone Vander Broek, William and Gerrit, all of Orange City; 14 grandchildren; and 3 sisters and 2 brothers; William of Maurice, Minnie, Mrs. William Van Meeveren. Annie, Mrs. John Roelofs, Johanna and Arie all of Orange City.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 at the First Reformed Church with Reverend Mr. H. Colenbrander in charge. Burial was made in the Orange City Cemetery.

Out of town people who were present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bos of Inwood, Ralph Cleveringa of and daughter Ruth of Inwood, Mr. and Mrs. Teunis Vogelaar of Sibley, Mr. and Mrs. William Schipper and daughter of Peterson, Jake Hop, Mrs. Peter Santema, both of Ireton, Mrs. Dick Dirksen of Hawarden, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boone and Mrs. Andrew Boone al1 of Sheldon, Mrs. Jennie Brommer of Sioux Center and several relatives from Alton.
