Funeral services for Jake Kleinhesselink, 70, were held at 1:30 p.m. February 7 at the American Reformed Church in Orange City. The Reverend Alvin Hook officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, under direction of Van Etten Funeral Home.
Mr. Kleinhesselink died February 4 at Veterans Hospital at Sioux Falls, where he had been a patient about seven months.
He married Emma De Boer on February 26, 1920 and they lived on a farm northwest of here until retiring to town in 1944.
He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include the widow, Emma; three daughters, Mrs. Russell Mott of Oskaloosa, Iowa Mrs. James Den Hartog of Belgrade, Minnesota, and Mrs. Joe Rickman of Eunice, New Mexico; the mother, Mrs. John A. Kleinhesselink of Orange City; nine grandchildren; three brothers and one sister.
