MRS. GERTIE KLEINHESSELINK

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertie Kleinhesselink, 75, of Orange City, who passed away Tuesday morning, September 15, were held Friday afternoon, September 18, at the Orange City First Reformed church. Reverend R. Van Heulelom officiated. Interment was made in the Nassau Township Cemetery.

Mrs. Gertie Vander Maaten was born April 17, 1889, om a farm near Alton, to Frank and Henrietta (Van Veldhuizen) Vander Maaten. She was married to Gerrit J. Kleinhesselink on February 17, 1910, and resided in the Orange City vicinity her entire life.

Her husband preceded her in death on April 5, 1936.

Survivors include a son, Joe W of Orange City; five daughters Dena (Mrs. Elmer De Vries) of Alton, Henrietta (Mrs. Bernard Van't Hof) of Rock Valley, Alvina (Mrs Henry P. Vander Zwaag) of Hospers, Winnie (Mrs. Dick Stander), and Mildred (Mrs. Russell Van Gorp) of Orange City; three sisters, Mrs. Jake Reuvers of Sanborn, Mrs. Henry Kleinhesselink, and Mrs. Gt. M. Haak of Orange City; three brothers, Jake Vander Maaten of Sacramento, California, Andrew Vander Maaten and Dr. Martin Vander Maaten of Orange City; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
