Heemstra, Mike born 1858 died 5 Dec 1934 Buried in Nassau Township cemetery at Alton IA, as listed in the Sioux County Cemetery Index. No obituary was readily found.

He is listed in the death record also as being single and dying in Center township. His probate appeared in the Sioux Center News of Dec 13th, 1934, his name was spelled Hiemstra. Was not able to find any other information on him.

In the 1930 census Mike Heemstra, born in Holland, was 72 yrs, came to USA in 1891, living in Settler township, single boarder, living with Gerrit Tilstra 56 yrs, and Kate Tilstra 49 yrs family. Could find no family connection with the Tilstra family.
