FORMER GRANVILLE MAN PASSES ON

William J. Klassen, former Granville butcher, died Saturday, May 10th, at Cherokee Hospital following a heart attack. He was 65 years and 10 months old.

He was born June 13, 1875, at Worthington, a son of Chris and Magdaline Klassen. On November 18, 1902, he married Miss Bertha Kuhl at Granville, where they were members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. They lived at Granville, Sioux Rapids and Paullian, where the family have many friends. Four children were born to the couple, all dying in infancy. One sister, Mrs. Mary Burkle of St. Cloud, Minnesota, survives, besides the widow. His parents and brothers have passed on.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Catholic Cemetery at Granville. Reverend Z. Reising officiating.

Nephews acted as pallbearers: J.A. Neureth, Clarence, Wilfred and Frances Van Bergen, Jerry kohl and Lester Kuhl.
